Moving image workshop

Things to remember

Always know your paper size

if your working on screen work to PAL standard (720 x 576 pixels) (25 fps)

Stills to videos

Check size of image, still images are often to large. you can change the size of each individual photo by using image size in photoshop.

and image must be RGB!

To change a group of images at the same time select - window, actions (in actions you can record a process then apply to other images with the click of a button), create new action (and name i.e. resize for pal) then change the image accordingly. save and close

once done, we can then use the action on a batch of images (a folder of images)

Select file menu, find automate, select batch, find the action 'resize' or whatever action you would like to use, then select the folder in which you would like to change and click 'ok'.

You need to ensure all your images are numbered sequentially so they're in the right order through the animation.

open quick time player 7 and select file > open image sequence > select the first image and because there numbered accordingly all the file in number order will open also.

make sure you export and don't save

change FPS to 25 it doesnt make your images 25 fps it just takes one image and makes it half so the document becomes 25 fps.
